Reference Services
The Gaunt Reference Room of the Ipswich Public Library is in the
main floor of the building and is open during regular library hours.
Our full-time Reference
Librarian, Paula Grillo, is available to assist patrons with
reference needs.
The Reference Collection consists of both books & other
printed materials, as well as online
databases. These databases
offers citations and/or full-text articles from popular
magazines as well as refereed professional journals-- all of
which are accessible at the library or from home with your
active library card. The Library also offers access
to the World Wide Web. PCs with networked printer and
Internet connections are available in the Reference Room.
Two workstations with Microsoft Word (word processing), Excel
(spreadsheets) and other computing software are located in the Homework Center.
The Reference Collection includes the following special
materials: Ipswich Files (history and general information relating to
Ipswich), Municipal Files (recent Town
Reports and other government documents -- older copies are
available in the Archives), State and Federal tax forms,
Educational Materials (FAFSA forms, catalogs and brochures from
local schools and colleges), Consumer Information (Consumers Reports and
N.A.D.A. Guides), and Investment Information (Value Line
and Morningstar
services, updated weekly). |
