Mission Statement
The Friends of the Ipswich Public Library is an organization dedicated to the
enhancement
of our Library. The Friends raise funds -- through dues collection
and book sales -- which are allocated to provide extras that fall outside the
regular budget of the Library including books
on CD, DVDs, children's programs,
amenities within the library, museum passes, and book binding. They also provide
one scholarship each year to a college-bound graduate of the Ipswich High
School. In addition, the Friends sponsor a monthly lecture or presentation which
is free and open to the public. The Friends are governed by a board which meets
monthly and has one annual meeting open to all its members.
Annual dues for the Friends of the Ipswich Public Library are:
Senior
$10.00; Individual $15.00; Family $25.00; Patron $50.00; Benefactor $100.00.

Donations for the Book Sale
The Friends are always looking for clean
copies of books to sell at their book sales. Books may be delivered at
the library during regular library hours. The Friends do not
want the
following categories of materials:
- text books
- trade journals
- encyclopedias & dictionaries
- school books
- anything that is mildewed, discolored, dirty or torn
- out-of-date computer books
Please do not leave book sale donations outside the library or in the book
drop. Thank you!
