Conservation Field Inspector

The Town of Ipswich seeks qualified candidates for part-time (10-15 hours per week) exempt position of Conservation Field Inspector. Position performs construction monitoring of all active projects authorized by the Conservation Commission; conducts inspections of potential enforcement cases; reviews building permit applications for compliance with the Wetlands Protection Act (WPA) and Ipswich Wetlands Protection Bylaw (IWPB); assists the public in completing permit applications under the WPA and IWPB; and provides general support to the Conservation Agent and Conservation Commission.

 

Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences, environmental studies or related field, and at least four years of experience in wetlands permitting, compliance and/or management; or an associate’s degree in the same fields of study with at least seven years of experience in wetlands permitting, compliance and/or management. Eastern Essex Dept. of Veterans Services - Veteran Services Director

The Eastern Essex Department of Veterans Services seeks qualified candidates for full-time exempt position of Veteran Services Director. Position delivers essential services to veterans and the eligible dependents living with in the Eastern Essex District. Accepts applications and make initial determinations of eligibility, meets with and provides assistance to veterans and their dependents. Candidates should be able to interpret and explain Federal and State benefits, programs and legislation to interested groups and potential benefits recipients and have excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.  Bachelor’s degree in administration, business or social work and two years of similar full-time work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Must be a veteran pursuant to M.G.L c.4 §7.
