The Inspector of Wires, Donald Stone, is a part-time inspector for the Town of Ipswich. Electric permits may be pulled at the Department of Code Enforcement at Town Hall, 25 Green Street during Town Hall’s regular business hours. Questions relating to permit fees or the electric permitting process should be directed to (978) 356-6605 extension 8.
Electric inspections are conducted on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8–11 AM. To schedule an inspection, electricians need to contact the inspection “hotline” before 8:00 AM the day of the request at (978) 356-6605 extension 1 and leave all requested information.
Please note that high voltage and meter locations are to be pulled at the Ipswich Utilities.
